25% of Author Royalties will be Donated to Himalayan Hospital

For every copy of Himalayan Dhaba reported sold by participating bookstores, the author will donate 25% of his royalty earnings to the Lady Willingdon Hospital in Manali, India, the setting that inspired this award-winning novel.

The author began writing Himalayan Dhaba while he and his wife spent six
months practicing medicine in this remote village hospital. With the success of the novel, the couple decided a percentage of the book’s earnings should benefit the people of the Kullu Valley who still live the story.

For every copy reported sold by participating stores during June, July and August, the author will contribute 25% of his share of the profit from that sale, up to a total contribution of $5,000.00. The donation will be made to the hospital in September 2003.
